PTAP1400 : Functional and Applied Anatomy

This course examines the structure and function of the human body with an emphasis on musculoskeletal anatomy, joint mechanics, muscle function, and regional movement across the lifespan. Students explore the relationships between anatomical structures, posture, ventilation, and functional movement, including foundational concepts of gait and kinesiology. Emphasis is placed on applying anatomical knowledge to support movement analysis, safe patient care, and clinical decision-making in physical therapy practice.
